Dying Boy’s Last Wish Plays Out on Arkansas Highways

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KARK) – A little boy’s dying wish has been played out on the highways of Arkansas.

A long line of police and fire vehicles helped escort Louie from Alexander on Thursday, February 28, all the way to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

They stood together for the little boy in declining health from a medical condition.

His last wish for the trip was to see as many firefighters, EMS, and police officers as he could.

The procession began at 9:30, with members of the Alexander Fire & Police departments, along with other agencies, setting up at Vimy Ridge Rd. and the South Service Rd. to give Louie the greatest send off possible.

A post on the City of Alexander Fire/Rescue Facebook page announcing the effort ends like this:

“The last thing I want to leave you with is from Louie, ‘I Can Not Wait to See Jesus!'”

“Wow. He knows his time here is almost done, but what waits as he leaves this earth is more amazing than we can ever imagine,” the post states. “God bless you, Louie.”
